In recognition of Juneteenth, join us on June 23rd for “The Hidden History of Black Boston,” an engaging illustrated presentation led by educator and historian Joel Mackall. Through storytelling, historic images, and artifacts from the Mobile Black History Museum, guests will explore the rich and often overlooked history of Boston’s Black community. Questions and discussion are encouraged throughout this interactive presentation.

Joel Mackall is an award-winning educator and founder of the Hidden History of Black Boston Tours and Black Connections: The Mobile Black History Museum. Based in Roxbury, he has led educational talks and workshops across Boston and beyond on African American history, genealogy, and culture.
