Wingate Gives Back: Making a Difference This Giving Tuesday
At Wingate, giving back isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. As a family-owned company, we believe in treating every community where we have a residence like family. That philosophy drives us to support meaningful causes, foster connections, and make a lasting impact in the neighborhoods we call home.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re proud to share some of the incredible ways Wingate residents, team members, and communities have come together to give back.
Walking to End Alzheimer’s: Each year, all Wingate communities participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, uniting to raise funds and awareness for this critical cause. Our Providence team’s 2025 fundraising efforts were truly remarkable, raising over $10,000 for the Rhode Island chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Their dedication reflects our shared commitment to supporting individuals and families impacted by this disease.
Silver Lake Steps Up: When Kingston High School’s football concession stand was broken into, Wingate’s Silver Lake community took action. They donated funds to replace broken and stolen items, ensuring the school’s sports program could continue to thrive.
Raising Funds for Dreams: At our Needham campus, including One Wingate Way East, One Wingate Way and Needham Residences hosted bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand for a special event that raised over $2,500 for Make-A-Wish of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. This event brought residents and members of the community together to help grant life-changing wishes for children in need, showcasing the power of collective giving.
A Commitment to Causes That Matter
Wingate communities are deeply engaged in making a difference across a variety of important causes:
- Walks for Parkinson’s Disease: Raising awareness and funds to support research and care.
- Food Bank Drives: Collecting items to fight hunger in local neighborhoods.
- Veterans’ Aid and Assistance: Honoring and supporting those who served our country.
- Memory Cafés: Providing a safe social space for caregivers and their loved ones impacted by memory impairment.
These efforts, and many more, highlight our residents’ and team members’ unwavering dedication to helping others.
Giving Back Year-Round
At Wingate, we believe that giving back is a year-round commitment. Whether it’s supporting national organizations or responding to local needs, our communities work tirelessly to make a positive impact. This Giving Tuesday, we’re reminded of the power of generosity and the incredible things we can accomplish when we come together.
Giving Tuesday is a call to action for all of us to support causes we care about and spread kindness in our communities. Whether by donating, volunteering, or simply offering a helping hand, every act of generosity matters. At Wingate, we’re proud to be part of a community that cares deeply about making the world a better place. Together, let’s continue to build stronger, more compassionate communities—today and every day.
